Polaroid I am the moment between the flash of a camera and the rendering of contrast, ink sinking into microscopic trenches to capture an instant of caged perfection. Find me in the blank space, undeveloped, nebulous yet tangible in the way that I hold you in suspense.
Thanks for reading this little poem! April has been a great month for poetry for me. I was inspired to write this one last week after seeing so many lovely poems here on Substack (proof of inspiration by association!). It’s finals season, so I expect my prose writing to slow down a bit over the next two weeks before ramping up as we head into summertime.
